Government Contracting Series: Labor and Material Charging
As a government contractor, an organization and all of its employees are required to follow specific rules about charging time and expenses to government projects. The rules are established by law and by a government contract. Although these rules can seem complex and at times cumbersome, it is important that they are followed. Mischarging can have significant consequences, including loss of employment as well as financial and criminal penalties for both the individual and the organization.
