NAVEX Global, a Lake Oswego company that helps large organizations manage their legal and regulatory compliance, said Monday it has acquired a rival called The Network, based in Georgia.
Each company had roughly 500 employees before the deal, according to NAVEX chief executive Bob Conlin, who will run the combined business. NAVEX now has 12,500 clients altogether, including 4,000 new ones from The Network.
The privately held companies didn't report terms of their deal and have not disclosed any financial information. Conlin said The Network had been owned by its founders; NAVEX is owned by an investment firm called Vista Equity Partners and has 220 employees at its headquarters in Lake Oswego.
