As our VP, Partners, you will be responsible for leading a motivated team that manages all strategic partnerships for each business segment of our organization and growing our partner program that drives meaningful revenue and retention. Reporting directly to the CSO, you will also work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure appropriate objectives and priorities are enabled within the sales organization and supported.
The ideal candidate will have a demonstrable record of success creating strategic visions for and growing partner programs, defining objectives, establishing repeatable, data driven practices, and have a yearning to lead and develop a team to exceed goals. What You Will Do:
Develop the broader partner ecosystem strategy that supports NAVEX Global's platform goals
Build the global strategy for our partner program, evaluating and improving our processes for finding, managing and monetizing a wide variety of strategic partners
Own the entire partner function, including hiring and leading a team of partner managers, communicating the value to stakeholders and driving adoption of the partner program across the organization
Have a deep understanding of our products, competitive landscape, varying customer needs and the role of partners in driving success
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior leadership in Sales, Marketing, Legal, Delivery Services, etc. to optimize joint selling and marketing strategies for driving revenue through the partner ecosystem
Establish clearly defined KPIs for each partner relationship, and update and maintain proper reporting metrics and funnel management
Perform monthly/quarterly partner reviews of established goals
Ensure partner compliance with partner agreements
Leading and Developing a High Performing Team:
Continuously lead, build, coach and inspire diverse staff with the goal of ongoing individual improvement and retention, establishing a culture that encourages and motivates members to achieve their maximum potential
Assist in developing processes, playbooks and clear individual and team goals that ensure each team member understands their role in the success of NAVEX Global; make changes when necessary and proactively address performance issues
What You Will Need:
A Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communication or related field, MBA a plus
10+ years’ experience in a strategic partner or business development role in the software/SaaS industry with 5+ years’ people management experience
A proven track record of defining and building successful partnership programs and strategies that accelerate growth and drive revenue
Strong executive presence and presentation skills with proven ability to report objectives and results
Experience building out and managing partner ecosystems internationally
Strong business management skills and understanding of a sales consulting methodology, such as value-based selling, strategic selling, Miller Heiman, Solution Selling, SPIN or Challenger
Proficiency with CRM and/or partner portal solution tools (Salesforce.com and Channeltivity a plus)
Strong leadership and consensus building skills to influence others based on your credibility, shared respect and strategic planning experience
Quantitative analytical skills, including pipeline management and forecasting
A proven track record in developing and leading successful partner management teams, including managing underperformance in any sales discipline as well as pipeline management and forecasting
High tolerance for ambiguity, an openness to change and a willingness to take informed risks
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a commitment to collaborate with people across a variety of levels with diverse backgrounds
