As our Sr. Director of Business Development, you will be responsible for managing the Sales Development Representative (SDR) team consisting of managers and SDRs to generate high quality pipeline for our sales organization. The ideal candidate has prior sales development experience, will have led a team of managers and has experience building a global sales development function. You will also have a track record in delivering and exceeding business results. A successful candidate will be equal parts business manager and talent developer as key metrics you will coach and hold your team accountable to are pipeline contribution, close rates, impact to sales cycle and your ability to build a world-class team.

What You Will Do:
Build the global strategy and organization for sales development
Identify opportunities for pipeline and business growth: test new ideas, objectively evaluate success/failure and effectively implement successes
Ensure sales accepted opportunities are sourced in accordance with company targets and that our sales organization has enough opportunities to work with to be fully productive, focusing on quality of opportunities without sacrificing quantity
Collaborate with Marketing Demand Generation leadership, Sales Operations and other internal organizations to develop and execute lead flow and pipeline generation initiatives
Partner with sales leadership teams to ensure SDR and sales organization work effectively and collaboratively, and that quality pipeline is continuously being developed and managed
Utilize quantitative methods to measure, manage, and optimize efforts and allocation of resources, set and manage quotas, KPIs and key prospecting activities, making recommendations for improvement
Plan, forecast, and understand ramp-adjusted capacity to ensure the team is grown effectively, in tandem with the needs of our sales organization and the supply of inbound demand from marketing.
Manage Salesforce reports and dashboards to ensure the results they deliver can be easily understood by stakeholders throughout the organization.
Partner with sales and marketing operations to ensure the SDR team has the best tools to do their job, and that they are configured to ensure SDR efficiency and productivity, especially salesforce.com and Outreach.io
Leading and Developing a High Performing Management Team:
Continuously lead, build, coach and inspire diverse staff with the goal of ongoing individual improvement and retention, establishing a culture that encourages and motivates members to achieve their maximum potential
Assist in developing processes, playbooks and clear individual and team goals that ensure each team member understands their role in the success of NAVEX Global; make changes when necessary and proactively address performance issues
Partner with Human Resources to develop strong competency models and defined career paths for our SDR organization
What You Will Need:
A Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis on business, communication or marketing preferred
5+ years’ experience managing and developing an outbound global prospecting team of more than 20 people
Global sales development experience
A proven track record of delivering sales pipeline to exceed goals at large, business-to-business SaaS organizations through leading inbound and outbound prospecting teams
Power user of Salesforce and SDR cadence management software, such as Outreach.io or Salesloft
Demonstrated ability to attract, retain, develop and motivate exceptional SDRs and SDR managers
Strong messaging skills and asset creation experience: material will need to be accurate, nuanced, direct and thoughtful for you to succeed in this role
Ability to operate independently and respond quickly in a fast paced, dynamic environment without requiring significant supervision
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, presentations skills and a commitment to engage and collaborate with people across a variety of levels with diverse backgrounds
