As our Associate Systems Engineer, you are an integral part of the IT Team. You will be primarily responsible for maintaining our internal server environments to ensure smooth operation and high availability of services. You will have full access to our IT resources to solve business needs with technology solutions and work with end-users and other team members to troubleshoot, investigate and resolve issues with computer hardware and software. This will also include working with employees in the efficient use of various programs, reporting and other technology tools to meet defined business objectives.
The ideal candidate will have strong technical acumen and curiosity, enjoys working well independently, taking ownership of their projects as well as in a team-oriented environment. You will have significant exposure to and collaboration with other functions of the Internal Infrastructure team, creating much opportunity for knowledge expansion.

What You Will Do:
Provide physical, hands-on infrastructure support for the local office
Assist Senior Engineering team with install, management and maintenance of Windows server, network and infrastructure across multiple sites
Manage group policies and Active Directory
Monitor and install updates to software and hardware on a regular basis
Plan, coordinate and implement security measures in order to protect data, software and hardware
Design, configure and test computer hardware, networking software and operating system software
Confer with internal users to resolve any issues
Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation with some off-hour and weekend support
Assist with special projects and other company efforts, participating in appropriate meetings, seminars and training sessions
What You Will Need:
A bachelor’s degree and prior work-related experience or equivalent
5+ years prior technical support or related work experience in an enterprise environment
A demonstrated understanding and adherence to change control processes
Experience with Microsoft Office 365 and Exchange installation, security and administration
Experience with Microsoft Systems Center preferred
Experience with Active Directory installation, configuration, and administration; multiple domains a plus
General and applied IP network, router, switch and firewall knowledge
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate with people across a variety of levels with diverse backgrounds
The ability to work independently in a multi-task environment, as well as part of a team
