Employees must understand how to protect the organization’s intellectual property (IP), including copyrights, patents and trademarks. This course helps learners understand the laws, organizational policies and penalties regarding the use and the misuse of IP—including the organization’s own intellectual property and that of competitors and other third parties. Learners are taught to avoid the misuse of outside IP and to avoid even the appearance of impropriety. Learners are also shown how to report any violations of the policies and the rules pertaining to these protected materials.
