Bob leads the executive team, leveraging more than 20 years of senior management experience in operations, sales, marketing, product management and business development.
During his tenure at NAVEX Global, Bob has served as chief products officer and chief operating officer. Before joining the organization, Bob served as senior vice president of marketing and business development at Accero, a global provider of human capital management solutions. Prior to Accero, he served as the chief marketing officer at Boston-based Centive, where he led the successful transformation of the company from a traditional software provider to a pure-play SaaS provider and created a new product category—On-Demand Sales Performance Management. Prior to Centive, Bob held senior sales and marketing management positions at Infinium Software, a publicly traded ERP software vendor, Cort Directions and Myriad/OrCom Systems.
SVP, Global Contact Center Operations
Roger brings more than 20 years of contact center leadership experience to NAVEX Global’s operations in both the U.S. and E.U. Throughout his career, he has served the third party service provider space across multiple industry verticals with inbound, outbound and business process outsourcing services. He also brings more than 12 years of international experience to NAVEX Global call center operations, having previously opened and operated contact centers in both India and the Philippines.
Previous to his current role, Roger served as vice president of operations for Global Contact Services while concurrently holding the position of president of GCS Agents Asia Pacific. Roger has also served as president of Air Relay Corporation, both executive vice president of operations and strategic planning for Innovative Marketing Strategies and senior vice president of operations for TeleSpectrum Worldwide.
Roger earned his B.S. in Business Administration from The Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado Boulder.
Founder & Executive Chairman
Shanti was the driving force behind the creation of NAVEX Global, and has been an innovator in the governance, risk and compliance (GRC) space for more than fifteen years. A former attorney, she has specialized in the design of powerful ethics and compliance solutions for employers that create a culture of ethics, inclusion and respect. Shanti has been instrumental in developing and guiding NAVEX Global’s mission, which is to enhance business value and reputation, to maximize legal defenses and to protect the bottom line.
Shanti received her Masters of Law (LL.M.) from Harvard University, specializing in alternative dispute resolution (ADR) and corporate risk management. At Harvard she was a Viscount Bennett Fellow and served on the Harvard Negotiation Law Review. Shanti received her J.D. and her B.A. (Film) from Queen's University (Canada) where she was a Queen's National Scholar.
Well-known in the legal, ethics and HR industries, Shanti has been a featured expert for a wide variety of media outlets, including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, CNN, Corporate Counsel, Inside Counsel and HR Magazine, among others. Shanti is also a frequent lecturer and writer for several prominent professional associations.
Senior Vice President, Services
Steve has 17 years of experience in business consulting, business operations management, strategic planning and organizational change management. Since starting the professional services team in 2008, the organization has grown by more than 300 percent, a testament to his leadership and carefully cultivated team of consultants.
Prior to his current role, Steve worked as a change management consultant with Accenture, specializing in the implementation of enterprise software product and solutions. Steve also founded and contributed to the successful start-up of Aon Safetylogic.com, an application service provider of integrated risk control management solutions for Fortune 2000 corporations, loss prevention firms and the insurance carrier markets.
Chief Technology Officer
Bob McCarter has more than 20 years of experience in database and information systems development and product and service technology development. His current focus is on creating and supporting the technology infrastructure necessary to deliver innovative products and services globally.
Bob has previously served as vice president, information technology and product development. Prior to this, he served Pinkerton, Inc., in the position of chief technology officer within Pinkerton's Consulting and Investigations division. Previously Bob also held the role of director of strategic initiatives and information systems architect for Pinkerton Services Group.
Prior to joining Pinkerton, Bob performed system design and project management on large-scale fluid dynamics and environmental remediation projects at the University of California at Berkeley. Formerly, he had served as an information systems consultant for Six R Communications and BellSouth and also held the title of equipment engineering manager for BellSouth.
Senior Vice President, Global Sales
With more than 20 years of experience in sales and sales management, Tom brings an unprecedented level of expertise and knowledge in opening and serving new markets. Prior to his current role, Tom spent 12 years with the Xerox Corporation in a variety of sales management positions, including account manager, product specialist and sales agency president. In 2002, he joined Associated Business Systems (ABS) where he played a key management role in the company's growth from $15 million to $45 million dollars in annual revenue during his six-year tenure.
Chief Compliance Officer and Senior Vice President, Advisory Services
Carrie Penman is NAVEX Global's chief compliance officer and senior vice president of advisory services. She has been with the firm since 2003 after four years as deputy director of the Ethics and Compliance Officer Association (ECOA). Carrie was one of the earliest ethics officers in America—a scientist who developed and directed the first corporate-wide global ethics program at Westinghouse Electric Corporation. Since joining the advisory services team, she has conducted numerous program and culture assessment projects for its clients and regularly works with and trains company boards of directors and executive teams. She also serves as a corporate monitor and independent consultant for companies with government agreements.
During his more than 20 years of corporate law and compliance experience, Shon has managed corporate law departments and counseled multi-national corporations with respect to transactional and compliance matters. As general counsel, he is responsible for the legal department and provides direction and oversight to the human resources and global privacy functions.
Shon previously served as general counsel for various publicly-traded and private companies, with concentrations in technology and energy. He has also been a partner in some of the world’s largest law firms, counseling clients on corporate and regulatory compliance matters as part of his practice focus on international, cross-border transactions and clients. Shon focuses on improving policies, procedures and developing people to achieve their greatest potentials.
Shon is a frequent speaker and writer on regulatory, compliance and cybersecurity issues. He earned a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law and a B.S. in Business Management, summa cum laude, from Park University.
Senior Vice President, Global Marketing
Ken is responsible for NAVEX Global’s integrated marketing efforts including the strategy development and execution of the product marketing, demand generation, brand positioning and corporate communications functions.
A strategic business executive with extensive marketing and business operations experience, Ken has a proven track record leading marketing, marketing operations and brand development for high-growth companies. He is an industry-recognized expert in revenue marketing transformation and marketing automation. Prior to his current role, Ken was the vice president of marketing for ELT and held the same position while at Satmetrix, the company that co-founded the Net Promoter Score. Ken has also held senior-level marketing positions with both industry-leading, multi-billion dollar enterprises and early stage ventures, always successfully building and leading teams that supported scalable operations, accelerated sales and drove profitable growth.
Ken holds an M.B.A. from Santa Clara University’s Leavey School of Business.
Chief Financial Officer
Craig is the newest addition to the executive team at NAVEX Global. With more than 20 years of financial expertise, he brings extensive experience in corporate development, strategic planning, business partnering, financial planning & analysis, treasury, financial control and investor relations to his role as CFO.
Craig previously worked with FLIR Systems – a $1.5 billion global manufacturer of thermal imaging systems – where he was vice president of finance with their Commercial Systems Division. There, he was responsible for the financial operations of a $700 million multinational division that included three business units, several operating units and 1,500 employees. Prior to that, Craig led the M&A and investor relations functions, making several strategic acquisitions and significantly expanding the shareholder base.
Prior to joining FLIR, Craig held various senior positions in finance, corporate development and investor relations at ESI, InFocus and Intel. He is a C.P.A., holds a B.S. from Cal Poly and an M.B.A from Stanford University.
